Our courses are not limited to those listed below. We have a number
of instructors who provide training for industry, business, law
enforcement, fire and rescue, civic organizations and families. If

Injury Prevention -
Bloodborne Pathogens -
Bloodborne Pathogen Instructor -
This is a course required for professional rescuers that may or will be
exposed to blood or body fluids. The class will give you an overview of
the ways to protect yourself when being exposed and prevention for
contraction of disease.
CPR-AED & CPR AED
for
Infants -
This is a class designed for the caregiver of maybe a Nursery Daycare
Business, School Teacher or anyone in a job which you are exposed to many
people and would need the knowledge to provide care until emergency
services would be able to arrive to help. This class is an 8 hour course.
CPR for
the Professional Rescuer - CPR, AED and
O2 Administration training. The course can be a challenge or full
length class. Total length of class is 8 hours but can depend on number of
students and abilities.
CPR AED Instructor -
To train instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross CPR/AED for
the Professional Rescuer course. This is a 12 hour course with Pre
screening required and FIT Course.
CPR Layperson Course -
This class is for persons not involved in emergency services but want to
know how to perform CPR in a time of need. This class is a 6 to 8 hour
course depending on the number of students and abilities.
ADVANCED CPR
Instructor -
This class is for those persons who are certified in CPR Instructor and
who wish to continue in the field of Advanced Instruction. This is a three
part phase to go through this curriculum and you must have a pre-screening
to attend this course. This is a 30 hour course which also once completed
you must be evaluated and shadowed by your Instructor to still receive
your certification.
Defensive Driving -
This is a class that is giving for both Traffic School for
court diversion and to better skill a driver for a company vehicle. The
course is 16 hours. It covers defensive driving techniques and traffic
laws.
Domestic Violence
-
This class is for the law enforcement officer that deals with providing
assistance and enforcement to domestic violence calls and complaints.
Drug Education -
We provide any educational classes about any drugs or a single
particular drug. Classes can be concentrated on a group of particular
drugs such as street drugs or pharmacy drugs. Whatever kind of class the
group needs can be giving.
EPI Auto Injector -
Extrication Stabilization -
This class is designed for the instruction of stabilizing a vehicle that
has been in a collision event and the use of cutting tools and cribbing to
access your patient or patients within the vehicle. This class is an 8
hour block of instruction.

Fire Preventions & Prevention Instructor

These classes are designed to give an understanding of ways to prevent
fires and ways to teach others about prevention of fires.
Fire & Rescue
Instruction -
These classes are designed for Fire and Rescue departments. We specialize
in many different classes to the needs of an individual department. What
type of class your department needs to have we can provide the instructor
and specialized trainer for you and your department.
First Aid Instructor -
This is a certification course designed to give the participant the
abilities to teach First-Aid. Person(s) which are interested must be
currently certified in First-Aid and CPR. You must go through a
pre-screening and F.I.T. to become an Instructor.
First Aid instructor
Trainer -
This class is for those persons who are certified in First-Aid Instructor
and who wish to continue in the field of Advanced Instruction. This is a
three part phase to go through this curriculum and you must have a
pre-screening to attend this course. This is a 38 hour course which also
once completed; you must be evaluated and shadowed by your Instructor to
still receive your certification.
First Responder
-
This is a 40 hour class that provide the necessary knowledge and skills to
provide a standardized level of care for the rescuer that will be first on
the scene of some critical event and have the abilities to manage the
scene until other Emergency Services arrive. This class provides CPR/AED,
blood borne pathogens and oxygen administration certification as becoming
a Certified First Responder. AMERICAN RED CROSS AND ALABAMA FIRE COLLEGE
certification.
First Responder Instructor -
This course is designed to give the participant the ability to teach First
Responder to others and the participant must be currently certified in
First Responder and meet the pre-screening requirements in order to take
the class. This class is 30 hours plus observation of another 40 hour
class.
Advanced First Responder Instructor -
This class is designed for those that are currently First Responder
Instructors and wish to continue in the field of Advanced Instruction.
This is a three part phase to go through this curriculum and you must have
a pre-screening to attend this course. This is a 60 hour course which also
once completed you must be evaluated and shadowed by your Instructor to
still receive your certification.
Fundamentals for Instructor Training (F.I.T.) -
This is a course giving as part of the screening phase to become an
American Red Cross Instructor. The course is required to become an
Instructor in any field of instruction under the American Red Cross. Course is 8 hours.
Heart Matters Lifestyle -
Lifeguard
-
This class will certify you as an American Red Cross Lifeguard. This
certifies you to work at a public or private pool. If you work at a beach
or waterfront facility you will need additional training. This also
applies to water parks. The class will take approximately 32 hours, but
this can be changed to do the participants skill levels and abilities.
Head Lifeguard -
This is a class for Certified Lifeguards that are interested in becoming a
Pool Manager or Facility Manager. The class provides the participant with
the necessary skills and knowledge of managing a facility and gaining a
better understanding liability. This class is 8 hours.
Lifeguard Instructor -
This is a class for Persons interested in teaching others to become
lifeguards. You must go through a pre-screening and F.I.T. to attend the
course and be currently certified as a Lifeguard. This is a 40 hour course
which also once completed; you must be evaluated and shadowed by your
Instructor to still receive your certification.
Advanced
Instructor -
This class is designed for those that are currently Lifeguard Instructors
and wish to continue in the field of Advanced Instruction. This is a three
part phase to go through this curriculum and you must have a pre-screening
to attend this course. This is a 40 hour course which also once completed
you must be evaluated and shadowed by your Instructor to still receive
your certification.
Lifeguard Management -
Lockout / Tagout -
This class is designed to give participants and
understanding of lock out tag out tasking. It is a 4 hour block of
instruction.
Managing Stress -
Mentoring Education -
Innovative ideas and programs for communities and individuals
that are interested in doing programs for youth. A pre-screening is
required for mentoring programs.
OSHA
Certifications -
Wide spectrum of workplace / OSHA related classes.
The classes can be anything from ergonomics, lock out tag out, confined
space, to fork lift training.
Oxygen Administration -
This is a class designed to provide the student with the knowledge of the
drug Oxygen and how to administer O2 with the different devices.

Parenting
Educations -
This is a class that is designed for parents with school age children that
want tips or ideas in parenting with today’s challenges in our society.
This class covers not only drug education but events and activities that
youth are involved in today. This is an opportunity for other parents to
also meet others with the same concerns and be able to discuss these
concerns in an open forum.
Parenting Education for
At Risk Children -
This is a class designed for the challenged parent that has an at- risk
youth and wishes to have an understanding of what they can do to cope with
this problem and prevent further unwanted actions by accessing what can be
done with today’s laws and resources that are available to parents and
guardians.
Random Actor -
This class is for both Law Enforcement and Industry and Businesses. The
class helps the participants identify the random actor or potential active
shooter in the workplace or other place. The class will discuss history of
and present knowledge learned for today’s events involving the Random
Actor. This class is 16 hours.
Red Cross Instructor
Fundamentals -
This class is for anyone who wishes to become an American Red Cross
Instructor they must taken this course of instruction. It gives you the
fundamentals on becoming and instructor, policies, procedures and the
history behind the American Red Cross.
Shallow Water Safety -
To teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and
respond to aquatic emergencies in shallow water up to 4 feet deep. The
course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and
respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and
injuries in shallow water. This course is not intended for the shallow
part of an area or attraction that also has deeper water.
Slip, Trip &Fall Prevention -
This class is designed for industry and businesses which have a high risk
of slip trips and falls, lifting safety, business safety and emergency
action plans. Our company can also develop site-specific emergency action
plans tailored for you business.
Sports Safety
-
To provide
individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment to adult and child athletes while they are
participating in sports and, in an emergency, to help sustain life and minimize the
consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical
help arrives. This
course is 8 hours.
Swift Water Rescue
-
This class is designed for both Fire/EMS and Police Personnel involved in
the task of rescue of person or persons from swift water events. This
class is mostly hands-on with some classroom. It is a 6 hour block of
instruction. It is designed to allow the rescuer the understanding of
setting up a rescue in a swift water event.
Swim Coach Safety -
To provide training in aquatic safety for competitive swim coaches and
officials, athletic trainers, athletes participating in aquatic
activities, aquatic exercise trainers, and other individuals involved in
aquatic competition or exercise programs.
Traffic Accident Investigator Level 1 -
This class is designed for those law enforcement officers that are tasked
to work the majority of all the traffic accidents for their department.
This class is 40 hours and will consist of classroom and hands-on class.
The class will cover laws of physics, inertia, fundamentals of collision
investigation, drag factor, skidding, yaw marks, burn-outs, using a
template and scale drawing.
Traffic
Homicide Investigation -
This class is designed for those law enforcement officers
that have the task of investigating traffic homicide in the field. The
class is an 8 hour block of instruction with some hands on training out in
the field. This class will give the officer an understanding of processing
a scene of an accident involving serious injury or death. This class
covers both accidents and collision events
Water
Rescue Basic -
To provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent,
recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. To prepare individuals for
aquatic emergencies by teaching them how to protect themselves while
assisting others
Water Safety Instructor -
This certification is to train instructor
candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue and
Personal Water Safety courses, six levels of Learn-to-Swim,
three levels of Preschool Aquatics and two levels of Parent and Child
Aquatics.
Waterfront Life Guard -
This is a class designed for the currently certified lifeguard who will be
working in the Waterfront environment. In order to work in a Waterfront a
lifeguard must complete this course separate from the lifeguard training.
This class is 37 hours.
Water Park Lifeguard -
This is a class designed for the currently certified lifeguard who will be
working in the Water park environment. In order to work in a Water park a
lifeguard must complete this course separate from the lifeguard training.
This class is 33 hours.
